The Catholic church was built on a ‘rock’ named Peter. Therefore it’s fitting that the famous heart of the Vatican is called St. Peter’s Square and Basilica. This is where the Pope addresses the faithful, where new Popes are proclaimed and where millions of pilgrims visit every year.
