Hanging out our hotel room window in Tangier offered a good view of the sunrise over the harbour. Apparently our hotel was a frequent home for ex-pat American writers like Jack Kerouac and Allen Ginsberg. It is said that William Burroughs wrote The Naked Lunch in room #9 of Hotel el-Muniria (we stayed in room #6!).
